Bochum-based IT security company presents MXDR and a comprehensive approach to cyber defence in Nuremberg, Hall 7A, Stand 314
How should companies organise their cyber defence when attacks are becoming more complex and security staff are in short supply? G DATA CyberDefense will present answers at this year’s it-sa, held in Nuremberg from 27 to 29 October 2026 (Hall 7A, Stand 314). The focus is on Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR), complemented by XDR and IT security services. The common thread is the guiding principle of CyberVertrauen: effective IT security only emerges when technology, human expertise and reliable partnership work together.

Many companies lack the staff to monitor their IT infrastructure around the clock, assess alerts and respond quickly and correctly when an incident occurs. This is where G DATA MXDR comes in: G DATA security analysts monitor IT systems 24/7, assess suspicious activity and step in immediately in the event of a cyberattack. Companies thus gain access to security expertise without having to build their own Security Operations Centre.
Organisations that prefer to handle attack detection themselves can rely on G DATA XDR. The solution brings security-relevant events together in one place and automatically identifies connections between individual incidents. This makes it quicker to see whether, and how, attackers are moving within the IT environment. Prioritised alerts reduce the number of false positives and make it easier to focus on the incidents that are genuinely critical. Automated response functions also help to contain attacks.
Sovereignty and partnershipGeopolitical uncertainty and regulatory requirements are pushing digital sovereignty further up the agenda. G DATA develops and operates its solutions in Germany and has stood for IT security ‘Made in Germany’ for more than 40 years, including a no-backdoor guarantee. Under the guiding principle of CyberVertrauen, the company combines technological performance with human expertise, digital sovereignty and long-term partnership. With its ‘Channel First’ approach, G DATA is also expanding its cooperation with specialist resellers, managed service providers and managed security service providers, enabling them to offer their customers security and managed services from a single source.
Workshops at it-saIn addition to its stand, G DATA CyberDefense is hosting six free talks and workshops at it-sa:
- 27 October 2026, 2.30 to 3.30 pm, Room Oslo
From alert to defence: XDR in a simulated attack scenario: Using a simulated attack, Manuel Beelen, Head of Engineering at G DATA CyberDefense, demonstrates how G DATA XDR detects and assesses threats and derives concrete courses of action from them. Participants will learn how security teams respond to alerts via the customer portal and in which cases XDR steps in automatically when incidents remain unaddressed. (session held in German)
- 27 October 2026, 4 to 5 pm, Room Oslo
From defence to certainty: how pentests close the gaps in IT security: Even the most advanced attack detection offers no protection against vulnerabilities in the network. Drawing on real-world cases, Alexander Höhler, Head of Offensive Security at G DATA CyberDefense, shows typical attack paths and security gaps that only come to light through targeted penetration tests. (session held in German)
- 28 October 2026, 9.45 to 11 am, Room Oslo
Hybrid attacks, a new situation, new demands. IT security in the public sector needs trust. Which building blocks does comprehensive IT protection really need, and what does that mean for public authorities and municipalities with tight resources, strict regulations and sensitive citizen data? Andreas Lüning, Member of the Executive Board and co-founder of G DATA CyberDefense, Felix Adami, Senior Manager Public Sector DACH at G DATA CyberDefense, and Rainer Baumgart, member of the Supervisory Board of G DATA CyberDefense, provide guidance. They also explain why, with digital sovereignty in mind, choosing a vendor becomes a strategic decision. (session held in German)
- 28 October 2026, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, Room Oslo
Going it alone on IT security – is that still possible? How realistic is it to handle IT security entirely with in-house resources? What role do managed security services play – and could artificial intelligence one day take over this task completely? Manuel Beelen, Head of Engineering at G DATA CyberDefense, Florian Kuckelkorn, Head of OEM Solutions at G DATA CyberDefense, and Florian Jörgens, CISO of the Vorwerk Group, invite attendees to an open discussion. (session held in German)
- 29 October 2026, 9.45 to 11.15 am, Room Oslo
Incident response isn’t decided in the server room alone. Incident response is not purely an IT task. It requires established decision-making paths, smart communication and strong partnerships – ideally before an emergency occurs. Kira Groß-Bölting, Deputy Head of CSIRT at G DATA CyberDefense, Florian Kuckelkorn, Head of OEM Solutions at G DATA CyberDefense, and Michael Sjøberg, founder of Delta Crisis Management, explain why.(session held in German)
- 29 October 2026, 11.45 am to 12.15 pm, Room Oslo
Still selling or already advising? Between sales and responsibility. In a crowded and confusing security market, medium-sized companies find it hard to identify suitable solutions and reliable partners. Brand recognition or analyst rankings often tip the balance. Aleksandra Glock, Director Operations and member of the management board at Infraforce, and Marie-Christin Kippar, Head of Channel & Alliances at G DATA CyberDefense, discuss what changes when IT service providers do more than sell and take responsibility for decisions. (session held in German)
