New role at G DATA CyberDefense: Felix Adami appointed Senior Manager for Public Sector

German cyber defence specialist creates a new position specifically for the public sector in the DACH market

Cyberattacks on cities, districts and public authorities have long been a part of everyday life. To provide even more targeted support to public institutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in securing their IT systems, G DATA CyberDefense is creating a new role: Felix Adami has been appointed “Senior Manager Public Sector DACH” with immediate effect and will serve as the central point of contact for the public sector. With this move, the cyber defence specialist is specifically realigning its sales operations to provide even better support to local authorities, administrations and government bodies. The need for effective IT security is constantly growing – particularly in light of pressing challenges such as a shortage of skilled workers, tight budgets and a persistently high threat level.

The issue of IT security is becoming increasingly important for public administrations. Successful attacks on cities and local service providers demonstrate just how serious the current threat landscape is. To better address the specific challenges and operational conditions faced by public institutions and authorities, Felix Adami will be working at G DATA CyberDefense specifically for this target group.

The issue of cyber trust has always played a major role in this and will do so even more in the future. Sales specialist Felix Adami has been with G DATA CyberDefense AG since 2022. Prior to taking up this role, he worked as a Key Account Manager, overseeing major projects and partners in southern Germany. He also supported clients from initial contact through to successful implementation within their organisations. In doing so, Felix Adami has already worked with local authorities, government bodies and districts. He is therefore familiar with the particularly complex conditions in the public sector. Previously, the trained business administrator worked in project management and as Head of New Business for a branding and communications agency.

In his current role, he understands the individual challenges faced by customers with regard to their current and desired security status, and ensures that G DATA’s solutions are precisely tailored to their specific needs. His focus is on the public sector and on identifying ways to strengthen cyber security in the long term within the given framework.
