German cyber defence specialist launches new platform solution
G DATA CyberDefense is launching G DATA XDR (Extended Detection and Response). The new platform enables the efficient detection and defense against cyberattacks in the business environment. XDR centrally aggregates security events, automatically identifies correlations, and helps Managed Security Providers (MSPs) to analyse and contain security incidents at their customers’ sites more quickly. At the same time, service providers benefit from automated processes, multi-tenancy and a flexible pay-per-use model. G DATA XDR is available now.
IT security requirements are constantly increasing: cybercriminals today often use multiple complex attack vectors simultaneously. Furthermore, regulatory requirements such as NIS 2 are increasing the pressure on companies to detect security incidents at an early stage and manage them effectively. For managed service providers and other service providers, this means greater responsibility and rising operational costs. They also face the challenge of offering security services in a cost-effective and scalable manner. With G DATA XDR, they can effectively protect their end customers against cyber attacks whilst delivering these services profitably.
“Many MSPs struggle with a flood of individual alerts. Assessing these alerts takes time and ties up valuable resources. G DATA XDR addresses this very issue and helps identify suspicious patterns more quickly. This shortens response times for security-critical incidents and reduces the operational workload”, says Arnas Staude, Business Owner XDR at G DATA CyberDefense.
Automatically correlate security eventsG DATA XDR centrally aggregates security-related events and automatically identifies connections between individual incidents. This makes it quicker to determine whether and how attackers are moving within an IT environment. Prioritised alerts reduce the number of false positives and make it easier to focus on genuinely critical incidents. Automated response functions also help to contain attacks.
The solution has been specifically developed to meet the needs of managed service providers. The multi-tenant web console in G DATA XDR allows for the centralised management of any number of customer environments. Automated workflows simplify the onboarding of new customers and day-to-day operations, helping to reduce operational overhead.
Scalable business model for MSPsIn addition to technical features, G DATA XDR specifically addresses the business requirements of service providers. The integrated pay-per-use model enables flexible billing based on the number of active customers. MSPs can thus scale their security services as needed without having to make significant upfront investments. At the same time, the solution unlocks additional revenue potential in the growing market for managed security services.
With XDR, G DATA is launching a modern security platform that combines more than 40 years of cybersecurity expertise. The German IT security specialist thus combines proven know-how with the requirements of modern IT security strategies.
With XDR, G DATA is targeting not only MSPs but also businesses that wish to manage an Extended Detection and Response solution themselves. Another key market segment is Small and Home Offices (SOHO), which seek support from a service provider for their IT security needs.
