AV-Comparatives Certified Leader

This press release has:
G DATA CyberDefense has achieved the highest distinction with its new XDR solution at the first attempt in the latest Endpoint Prevention and Response (EPR) Test conducted by AV-Comparatives. The independent testing institute awarded G DATA XDR “Certified Leader” status. The security solution stopped all simulated attacks before they were able to compromise critical systems. G DATA XDR achieved this result using its standard configuration, without any additional adjustments or optimizations. At the same time, neither false positives nor workflow delays resulted in additional operational costs.

For the 2026 EPR Test, AV-Comparatives evaluated 14 enterprise security solutions across 50 realistic, multi-stage attack scenarios. Unlike traditional malware tests, the EPR Test focuses on complete attack chains – from initial access, for example through phishing, to privilege escalation and lateral movement within the network, all the way to data theft. The scenarios are based on techniques and tactics from the MITRE ATT&CK Enterprise framework.

“Today, companies need security solutions that detect complex attacks at an early stage and stop them effectively without placing an additional burden on IT teams with a flood of alerts. This is exactly what we designed G DATA XDR to deliver: strong detection and response capabilities combined with efficient operations. The results from AV-Comparatives demonstrate that our new platform meets these requirements even under realistic attack conditions,” says Arnas Staude, Business Owner XDR at G DATA CyberDefense.

Realistic attack scenarios instead of static malware tests
The requirements for achieving Certified Leader status are demanding. Products must achieve a combined Active and Passive Response Score of at least 92 percent while maintaining an acceptable operational footprint, with few false positives and no significant workflow delays. Of the 14 products tested in 2026, eleven achieved Certified Leader status.

"G DATA XDR achieved Certified Leader status in the AV-Comparatives EPR Test 2026," said Andreas Clementi, Founder & CEO of AV-Comparatives. "Facing a demanding mix of attack vectors, from executables and scripts to USB-propagated payloads, the product ultimately contained every single scenario before it could reach the asset breach phase, without generating any additional operational accuracy costs. That is a strong outcome for G DATA's XDR solution in our enterprise test."
